At a large company, employees got a mailed reminder about free flu-shot clinics. Some reminders added one line: write down the date and time you plan to go. That group was vaccinated at 37 percent, against 33 percent for the plain reminder. Writing only a date made no reliable difference. The prompt helped most where the clinic ran for just one day.26
